Can You Die Multiple Times? Watch Happy Death Day To Find Out
Happy Death Day is a 2017 USA horror movie which premiered recently on October 13th 2017 and has so far broken box office records by wrecking at least $40 million as of today which was ten times its production budget. Happy Death Day is now available on DVD and online on InFocus Mag, and you should watch it because it is one of the greatest time-loop horror movies ever made.
Theresa Gelbman is a typical college student who is going through life in college, as we know it. She is, however, unluckily murdered on her birthday by a mysterious hooded knife-wielding individual. Unknown to her, she wakes up the following morning and relives the day of her death over and over. As the time loop continues she realizes instead of avoiding being murdered, she could try to find out who her murderer is.
Sadly, she becomes weaker and weaker and thus has to hasten her investigative spree to ensure she finds out who her murderer is before it gets too late. This leaves an intense thriller that gets the audience on the edge of their seats as they watch Happy Death Day free and the investigation goes deeper and more suspects are unearthed.
Cast and Crew
Jessica Rothe plays Tree Gelbman who is stuck in the time loop. Jessica Rothe has starred in other brilliant movies such as La La Land and Mary + Jane. Her performance was brilliant and well-executed. Other stars includes Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken and Israel Broussard.
The film was produced by Jason Blum under his famous production company Blumhouse and directed by Christopher B. Landon. It is also vital to recognize the efforts of the superb writer Scott Lobdell who did a very good job in developing a unique script to a story that is not very foreign.
Very well-executed with great cinematography. The visual effects and sound effects were nicely done The actors are top notch with exemplary performance especially by Jessica Rothe. The plot is also well written with a good element of suspense and surprise.
The most outstanding fact is the ability of the director to execute such a common story in a superb way. The time loop has been used several times but never has it been as uniquely told as in this spectacular movie.
This story has been told before and is not as unique as the creators might have anticipated.
The best about this great multi-genre movie is the unpredictability of the plot. I assure all viewers that the surprises that come when you watch Happy Death Day will leave you with an ambivalent feeling of wanting to slap the director on the face but still loving him for executing the script so nicely. In general, the film is a really good combination of several genres and is a must-watch. From the appreciators of thrillers, to horror flicks to even a little bit of comedy, Happy Death Day is definitely a movie to head to the cinemas for.
